Film Academy Taps Glenn Close, Floyd Norman and Ridley Scott for Honorary Awards, Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler for Thalberg Award

None of this year's five honorees have previously been recognized with a competitive Oscar. Close has been nominated eight times, Scott four and Vachon and Koffler once.
